Police seek information on Kelowna Steve-O show brawler

Woman sought regarding alleged assault

UPDATE: Jan.26.

Kelowna RCMP have confirmed the woman they wanted to speak with, has been in contact with police. It said currently the file is still under investigation and could offer no further comment at this time.

Original story-

Police hope the public can help them identify one of the people involved in the brawl at the Steve-O show last October at the Kelowna Community Theatre.

The woman is wanted for alleged assault and appears prominently in video taken by members of the audience ahead of the raucous show. She can be seen throwing several punches, although many of them appear to have failed to land.

A post on the Unsolved section of the Central Okanagan Kelowna Crime Stoppers page, shows a photo of the woman, dressed in the same white top under a jean jacket. She’s wearing a shoulder bag with ‘**ssholes live forever’ written on it. It’s not clear when the photo was taken.

According to police, the brawl happened when a couple was asked to lower their voices during the performance. Two men began fighting and then the woman in question began punching two other women, causing several non-life-threatening injuries.

Anonymous tips to Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.crimestoppers.net can earn a cash reward.

At the time, the theatre said it believed the altercation was an isolated incident and is not reflective of its theatre audiences.
