Police investigating audience fight at Steve-O show in Kelowna

Viral videos show handful of patrons throwing punches

Kelowna RCMP want to learn more about the unsavoury behavior ahead of a performance at the Kelowna Community Theatre late Friday night.

Police say they've now received a complaint regarding an altercation involving multiple people at the Steve-O gig.

An investigation is underway and police are interested in looking at photos or video footage captured by patrons.

Video posted online shows a pair of audience members throwing punches in the preamble to the 'Jackass' star's 10 p.m. performance.

It was not immediately clear what triggered the fight, though online comments detail a rowdy crowd that sparked several flair ups during the show.

In a statement to Kelowna10, the Kelowna Community Theatre said they believed it was an isolated incident and is not reflective of their theatre audiences.

"Any of the patrons believed to be involved were escorted out of the show by security. We don’t condone behaviour of this nature, especially at our Community Theatre, " the venue said.

Anyone with info or footage can contact Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 and reference the file number 2022-67847.
