Woman dies after fall from condo tower

Police and coroner probing how a woman fell to her death from downtown condo tower.

  • Mounties said they received a report of a woman falling from a balcony.
  • Adult woman pronounced deceased at the scene.
  • Police do not believe criminality is involved.

Kelowna RCMP are investigating the death of a woman after she reportedly fell from the new tower block at 1100 Sunset Drive, the new One Water Street development.

Mounties said they received a report at 10 a.m. of a woman falling from a balcony.

Frontline officers attended and located an adult woman who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A police spokeswoman said a full investigation was getting underway but at this time they do not believe criminality is involved.

“The BC Coroners Service is now conducting a concurrent investigation to determine how and by what means the deceased came to her death,” RCMP said in a media release.

No further information is being released at this time.
