WATCH: What famous moment in music history is Ryan honouring?

It has been half a century since this iconic album was released

June 16 marks the 50th anniversary of one of the greatest albums of all time.

In 1972 David Bowie released The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.

It's an album that would either directly or indirectly influence nearly every other rock band that came out afterwards.

Ryan from 103.1 Beach Radio makes his own personal homage to the British legend, whose Ziggy Stardust glam rock persona became a defining moment in music history.

But Ziggy was not a one-off.

His next album featured the Aladdin Sane character, and this in fact, is the iconic lightning bolt facial makeup that Ryan had painted on his face for his Ziggy tribute.

But, if you're a true Bowie fan, you knew the deliberate mistake already didn't you?

Give Ryan a call or text during his afternoon show on Beach Radio at 250-868-1031. He'd love to hear from you.
