Okanagan summers are all about going with the flow. And that's why the ease of a ponytail makes it the perfect summer hairstyle.

Why be basic though?

With some creativity and a few simple twists, you can elevate your ponytail to one that is red carpet worthy yet casual enough for a patio.

Stylist, Audrey Wittmann, from Blank Canvas Hair Co., starts with a simple half-up ponytail.

She then splits the bottom section, bringing both sides up and around the original ponytail, securing it with another elastic.

Leave some space though because the magic comes when you pull one pony through the other.

Tighten to hide the elastics and smooth with some serum.
