WATCH: The goal that keeps the Rockets ignited in the playoffs

Sometimes it really is all about just one goal

It took overtime in Game 4 of the WHL first round playoff series against the Seattle Thunderbirds, but the Kelowna Rockets are finally on the board.

It was ample reward for the home fans at Prospera Place, as the Rockets blasted their way to a 3-2 overtime victory over the visitors courtesy of Adam Kydd finding the back of the net.

With the series at 3-1 in favour of Seattle, it’s still very much do-or-die for the Rockets, but there’ll be a spring in their step as they head to Washington State for Game 5 on Friday.

The first win of this series is also very much down to the goaltending heroics of Talyn Boyko.

He was benched in Game 3 after taking massive bombardment in the first two games, but he bounced back with 36 stops Wednesday night.
