Colin Hawkins is this month’s winner of the Kelowna10 app win your mortgage or rent contest.

He walks away with $2,500.

Hawkins, who works with Sawchuck Developments, was out in the field when he found out he’d won.

“I was up in a boom lift outside doing some work and I get this phone call and I’m like ‘hello?’ and the guy told me I won,” he said. “I was up with this other guy and we’re having a little celebration at the top of this lift 40 feet up in the air. It was pretty cool.”

He told Ryan from 103.1 Beach Radio that he’s a fan of Kelowna10 because of the slick layout and how every story is right out full in front of you.
