How a local family got a new kitchen at a fraction of the cost

Toby from 103.1 Beach Radio found out how one local family was able to get a whole new look for just a fraction of that cost.

“We looked into doing brand new cabinets, but the cost was just too high,” homeowner Cody told Toby. “It was upwards of $25,000. So, we went the refinishing route.”

That involved the doors, kickplates and anything else that can be removed being sanded, stripped and re-painted in the colour of their choice.

It cost $5,000 and Cody said the company was in and out in a week. He and his wife decided to refresh their old, dark look with a bright, fresh white which opened up the whole room.
