WATCH: Help give this nearly two-century old tree a haircut

This barked beauty is in need of some costly upkeep

We aren’t sure if she’s the oldest but she’s definitely Kelowna’s favourite tree.

The 190 year old London Plane is a giant that lives right in the middle of the DunnEnzies Pizza Co. patio on Lakeshore Road.

Thousands of patrons have dined under her canopy, countless kids have swung on her limbs, and now she is in need of some upkeep - expensive upkeep.

DunnEnzies has organized a fundraiser to help foot the arborist bill, which will run into the thousands.

Reserve your seat this Sunday (June 26th) for The Big Tree Fundraiser.

Enjoy live music, comedy, a silent auction, beef on a bun and yard games.

There are two seatings for the event. 1pm and 5pm.

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased on Eventbrite. Find the link on the DunnEnzies Facebook page.

All funds will be used for maintenance of the tree so she can remain a healthy, big and beautiful fixture in the heart of the Lower Mission.
