  • Coming to Prospera Place June 9 -12

Tickling the imagination and exploring the vibrant world of insects is what circus fans can experience at a thrilling show coming to Kelowna in June.

Cirque du Soleil is making its return to the Okanagan with its energetic and acrobatic production called OVO, that redefines the limits of the human body.

OVO is a colourful intrusion into the life of insects, featuring show-stopping acrobatics that highlights the unique personalities of various insect species, according to a media release. The show explores the beauty of biodiversity in all its contrasts and vibrancy.

Showgoers can expect a variety of acts from mighty crickets bouncing off trampolines to a hypnotic spider contorting inside her web.

The organization describes the performance as funny and chaotic, yet adorable and wonderful, charming the inner child with its sweet exuberance.

According to a media release, the show is comprised of 100 people from 25 different countries. Since its opening in Montreal in 2009, OVO has thrilled more than seven million people across the world.

Club Cirque members can get their tickets here, and general tickets go on-sale April 4.

OVO will be at Prospera Place for seven performances from June 9 -12.
