This week marks the death of these two grunge rock icons
Bleak day in music history
April 5 is a dark day in the world of rock, and specifically, grunge.
It was on that day in 1994 that Kurt Cobain took his own life.
Eight years later, Layne Staley of Alice in Chains passed away from a drug overdose.
Ryan, from 104.7 The LIZARD, said the two men were arguably the biggest frontmen of the 1990s.
He picked out one of the biggest grunge hits of the era to remember the musicians.
