We tried magnet fishing. Here's how it went.

Did Big Ginger catch anything?

While anglers have long relied on lures and bait to reel in their catches, Mitch Wright and his son, Arlo, have taken a refreshing dive into the world of treasure hunting with a twist.

Magnet fishing, a rising sensation on social media, involves using a sturdy neodymium magnet fastened to a lengthy rope, capable of hauling objects weighing over 200 pounds from the watery abyss.

This modern-day form of treasure hunting has captivated the hearts and imaginations of enthusiasts worldwide, inspiring them to scour their local waters in search of hidden gems.

Big Ginger from 103.1 Beach Radio joined the magnetic duo to witness their treasure trove first-hand.

““We actually went camping with a group of family campers up Beaver Lake Resort. And out there, one of the kids, one of our friends had a magnet, so they went out on the pier and they started magnet fishing. And that's what got Arlo excited,” Wright told Big Ginger.

Check out the video to see if they uncovered any secrets of the lake.
