A bounty of unique, locally sourced blends
A wave of pleasant aromas and warm, inviting décor hit you upon entering.
It makes sense, as the Chaibaba tea shop puts a big focus building community as well as the tea they brew.
Sarah, from 104.7 The LIZARD, took a trip to the quaint shop to soak in the atmosphere and learn about what makes the space so special.
"We are a hidden gem because we have a lot of great people that come here that support us and they're the hidden gems and they kind of make this place special," caretaker Crystal Russel told Kelowna10.
The shop boasts organically grown tea leaves, herbs, and spices from around the world, while also supporting local as much as it can. They use these unique ingredients to create original blends that fill their air with tantalizing aromas.
There are many options favoured by her clientele, with each variety of tea having its own preferred brew.
When it comes to black tea, Russel said her Crème Earl Grey stands tall. Her Coconut Green blend is appreciated among her green tea, while Happiness is king in the Rooibos category. On the herbal side, Solstice and Dream State take the lead.
In addition to the multitude of tea, the shelves of the space are also adorned with local wares, ranging from candles, to pottery, and other works of art.
