The countdown is on to the summer's biggest rock show
The biggest rock festival in Kelowna is ready to take the stage again this summer, and organizers have released the first four names set to Rock the Lake.
Collective Soul, Burton Cummings with His Band, Bran Van 3000, and Everlast presents Whitey Ford's House of Pain, are the first wave of rockers announced to perform from Aug. 11 - 13 outside Prospera Place.
Hall of Famer Cummings is best known for leading The Guess Who from 1965 to 1975, alongside a lengthy solo career. On recent tours he's performed some of the bands mega hits from the 60s and 70s including 'These Eyes', 'Laughing' and 'No Time.'
Collective Soul, the rock band from Georgia, had several hits in the 90s including 'Shine', 'December' and 'Gel.'
Everlast took off as a solo artist with hit singles like 'What It’s Like', and 'Ends', both reaching the U.S. rock Top 10.
Montreal alternative dance and neo soul troupe, Bran Van 3000, are known for their unique sounds on tracks like 'Drinking in L.A.', 'Afrodiziak', and 'Astounded'.
