The case for taking your shoes off indoors

It could be a massive threat to your health

Do you often find yourself walking around your home with your outdoor shoes on?

While this might seem harmless, it's a practice that could potentially bring harm to those living in your home.

The culprit behind this threat? Bacteria.

In fact, a staggering 96 per cent of outdoor shoes are found to harbor harmful bacteria, such as E.coli, which can cause severe gastrointestinal and urinary tract infections.

Toby, from 103.1 Beach Radio, has some insightful facts about this.

She delved deeper into this topic in this video, where she found that while it may seem like a minor habit, wearing shoes indoors can have significant implications for your health and cleanliness of your home.
