Check out Kelowna's sparkling new waterfront park

Pandosy Waterfront Park shows off its charm

The latest addition to Kelowna’s waterfront public parks has officially opened.

The redevelopment of the property on Abbott Street and Cedar Avenue has been contemplated for more than a decade with significant public input to determine the final design outcome.

The new park features many amenities including impressive pedestrian promenades, pathways, a misting station, picnic areas, and boardwalk.

There are also benches, an urban beach (along with funky permanent loungers), basketball hoops, public pier, floating dock and an accessible kayak launch, naturalized beaches and much more to bring residents together.

The park's long term vision is to be a key part of the Kelowna Paddle Trail as well as its presence on the Abbott Active Transportation Corridor.

The City has committed to open the park without an official name, simply going by 'Pandosy Waterfront Park' for the time being.

They will be entering into a collaborative naming process with Westbank First Nation as part of their work towards meaningful reconciliation.
