The eventful winter continues.
Once again this winter, it’s time to prepare for another dump of snow, and this could be one of the biggest so far.
A snowfall warning is in effect throughout the Okanagan, including Kelowna.
Heavy snow was expected to end Thursday morning then redevelop late in the day and continue to Friday afternoon.
The storm was expected to bring up to 20 centimetres of snow, especially over higher elevations.
The snow will come as part of an intense Pacific frontal system that moves across the Lower Mainland, then into the Interior.
Environment Canada said the rapid accumulating snow may affect the Thursday morning commute.
As always, motorists should be prepared to adjust driving with changing road conditions.
It has been an eventful winter with daily temperatures well into the minus teens during the last week of the year.
In recent days there has been an easing off of extreme cold and temperatures could rise above the freezing mark next week.
