See how this candlelight musical experience warms the room

'Bathed in sound' amidst the candles

It's a live, magical musical performance like no other.

The entertainment company Fever is extending their Candlelight Concerts to Kelowna's Laurel Packinghouse.

The first of the series began with Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. It's followed by a Taylor Swift Tribute (Nov 24-29), and a holiday performance of The Nutcracker (Dec 11-20).

Originally, these concerts were created as a classical music series but have expanded into the playing of contemporary works as well.

“I think people are coming to hear beautiful music that they know, whether it's Vivaldi’s Four Seasons or Taylor Swift," cellist Olivia Walsh told Kelowna10 before the performance Thursday evening. "They are coming to hear it in kind of an acoustic, unplugged way in this beautiful historical building with candlelight and just being bathed in sound.

“It’s a meditation, an escape from the day to day, the business of everyday life and coming in for an hour and just relaxing and enjoying the sound," she said.

The quartet consists of members of the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets for the remaining shows can be purchased online.
