See how these Rutland neighbours go all-out for Halloween

This might be the spookiest corner in Kelowna!

A pet cemetery covered in bones, a 10-foot-tall dragon, Pennywise, and several grim reapers are just some of the adornments covering Diedre and Jay Peterson’s front yard.

The couple moved into their home on Benchview and Dougall Road in Rutland last summer and fit right in.

“As soon as we moved in here, we asked everybody, ‘how is Halloween around here?’ And they’re like, ‘oh, lots of kids, lots of kids,’ and my wife just lit up,” he told Kelowna10.

At their previous home, Jay said they had maybe three kids show up on Halloween. Now, they are expecting over one hundred trick-or-treaters.

Wasting no time to spice up their home for the season, the Peterson’s hit the internet and found whatever they could to add to their collection.

It’s mostly an eclectic theme, although a large portion is dedicated to the must-see haunted pet cemetery.

But the Peterson's are not alone in their spooky adorations, their neighbours also have impressive animatronic collections.

Among the hoard, a motion activated cackling witch alongside a talkative skeletal bride that carries her groom in her arms.

Trick-or-treaters looking for a top-notch Halloween night should be sure to swing by the displays in Rutland.
