Scotty Berg goes Hollywood for the holidays

Local musician Scotty Berg brought the holiday weather with him when he visited the 103.1 Beach Radio studios Friday morning.

The up-and-coming star recently released a new song he wrote called, ‘Just Like Christmas’, and has some excited news about Hollywood!

Ara and Toby from the morning show asked him about the details.

Toby: Scotty, you are singing my favourite kind of songs right now. You have a new Christmas song out, how did that come to be?

Scotty: I was in Nashville in July, I recorded five songs. And then about a month ago, I was in in L.A. with my dad, we recorded this Christmas song, and it released just this November 1.

Toby: I always feel like you’ve made it big when you do a Christmas song, so we know an album is coming soon right?

Scotty: An album is around the corner. One of the songs I recorded in Nashville has already been released, then in 2023 I think an album will be coming out.

Ara: We’ve been your biggest supporters for such a long time and it’s like you’ve grown three feet over the last few years!

Scotty: I remember when I first came to the studio, Ara was taller than me and now I’m taller than Toby!

Ara: From busking in Kelowna to now recording in L.A. and Nashville, it’s like you’re living a dream. What’s the big news you have coming later this month?

Scotty: On November 27, I will be performing on the red carpet at the Hollywood Christmas Parade. You can watch it on TV on the CW Network and KTLA. It’s been hard to sleep knowing I have this big event coming up, it’s pretty crazy!
