It's been seven years since Led Zeppelin first successfully defended their song 'Stairway to Heaven' from a lawsuit claiming they had plagiarized significant sections of the song 'Taurus'. Another final legal decision wasn't made until last year.

Ryan from 104.7 The LIZARD takes us through the differences in the songs.

A federal jury said the hit song did not contain enough similarities to the band Spirit's song 'Taurus' released three years prior to Zeppelin's mega hit.

Although their chord progressions are the same, the lawyers representing Led Zeppelin proved that the progression had been around for quite some time, citing Mary Poppins' 'Chim Chim Cher-ee' as a notable soundalike.
