Charity auction fetches multi-millions
Sixty years of James Bond movies were celebrated recently with two auctions – one live and one online- at Christie’s in London.
There were 60 different lots on offer to fans seeking to bid on some extraordinary memorabilia from the movies that have captured filmgoers since the release of Dr. No in October 1962.
A total of $10.7 million was raised for an assortment of charities thanks to huge sales on items such as the famous Aston Martin DB5, a military grade Omega watch, props from the move ‘Spectre’ and even signed lyrics from Adele.
