Letter grades are on their way out

The new school year is underway and British Columbia public schools have said goodbye to letter grades for all students in Kindergarten through Grade 9.

The Ministry of Education has expanded its use of a model that relies on 'descriptive feedback': A's are 'excelling', B's are 'proficient', and so forth.
