Canada's famous 'top theatre show' is back in the Okanagan
It has been a live stage phenomenon since the 1950s and mesmerized audiences at its peak in the 70s and 80s.
Now it's back in the form of a new generation.
Tyrone Reveen, son of legendary "super consciousness" hypnotist and illusionist Peter Reveen, who died in 2013, is on tour here in the Okanagan.
"It was the top seen show on Canada's theatrical circuit from coast-to coast and we continue to evolve it to new heights," Ty explained to Kelowna10.
The show promises the same dazzling effects and audience engagement that amazed people across the country and the world.
Ty has created and designed innovative stage effects for the likes of ZZ Top, Dolly Parton, David Copperfield and on Broadway, all he says, inspired by his ability to perform and understand the principles of hypnosis.
“My father told me at the age of five that I would one day take over his show because I was passionate about everything he did," Ty recalls. "I toured with him for more than 30 years; I performed with him for about 3000 shows, and was involved with him professionally in all facets of his career since the mid 1970’s."
The hypnotically hilarious show, that sees many in the audience transcend their inhibitions - all in a fun and positive way - happens at Kelowna's Community Theatre Nov 16, at 7:30 pm. Click here for ticket info.
There are other local dates too: Nov 14 at Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre, and on Nov.17 at Cleland Community Theatre, Penticton, BC. 7:30 pm.
