Remembering a great Beatles album and its India connection

Ryan reflects on an iconic album 54 years on

Back in the U.S.S.R., While My Guitar Gently Weeps, and Ob La Di, Ob La Da: just a few of the iconic tracks on the Beatles’ White Album.

Ryan, from 104.7 The Lizard, celebrates the anniversary of this, the only double album by the Fab Four, which was released Nov. 22, 1968.

Nineteen of the 30 songs on the two vinyl discs were written while the band was on a retreat in India.

Ryan does his best Paul McCartney strumming as he offers us another memorable tune from the album: Blackbird.
