Nestled amidst the captivating waters of Okanagan Lake lies a mysterious enigma - none other than Rattlesnake Island.
The tale of this island takes us back to the year 1971, when Eddie Haymour purchased the island, and had a visionary plan to transform it into a prominent tourist destination. It would have an Arab-themed park, complete with captivating attractions like a mini-golf course.
As construction began, the provincial government stepped in and tried to shut down the project, but it still opened unfinished in 1972.
Ryan from 104.7 The LIZARD and Toby from 103.1 Beach Radio made the trek out to the infamous site to explore the remnants of what would have been the mini-golf course.
