Police open tip line after body of woman found at Glenmore Dog Park

No specific concern for public safety after the discovery of body

Kelowna RCMP are saying there is no specific danger to the public after the discovery of the body of a woman at the Glenmore Dog Park Sunday morning.

RCMP are deeming the incident suspicious.

The body was found at the park on the 2100 block of Glenmore Rd.

In the meantime, police have opened up a tip line and are asking the public to come forward if they have any information.

The Serious Crime Tip Line is: 250-470-6236.

“What we’re looking for is anybody who was at the dog park, prior to 8:45 a.m. Sunday morning to give us a call,” Media Relations Officer, Cpl. Tammy Lobb told Kelowna10.

She added the investigation is in the early stages.

“In any investigation such as this, the body of a deceased person was located, so the investigation is suspicious in nature,” Lobb said.

She added investigators are working to identify the woman, and are working very closely with the B.C. Coroners Service.

No further details have been released.

Lobb said at this time there is no concern for public safety, and there’s nothing indicating people should be concerned about using the dog park.
