Okanagan Rockets make TELUS Cup return after 11-year absence

Back on the national stage

The Okanagan Rockets U18AAA team is headed back to the TELUS Cup for the first time since 2014, when they won a bronze medal at the national tournament.

The Rockets earned their spot after a strong playoff run that saw them win the B.C. Elite Hockey League title, followed by a victory at the 2025 Pacific Men's U18 Championship.

They’ll face off against the Regina Pat Canadians, Elgin Middlesex Canucks, Moncton Flyers, Chevaliers de Lévis, and the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds. The tournament is being played in Chilliwack.

RocketFAN.ca's Regan Bartel spoke with head coach Eric Blais ahead of the team’s departure, reflecting on the path that brought them to the national stage.
