Mortgage payment paid courtesy of Kelowna10

Local woman latest monthly winner

  • HandyDART driver’s mortgage paid
  • One more monthly winner to be called in March
  • Grand prize awarded in April

You can’t win if you don’t enter.

Christina Allen remembered this and is now the latest person lucky enough to discover that it pays to download the free Kelowna10 app. She’s just won a month’s mortgage courtesy of the new digital platform.

She works as a HandyDART driver, a ride service for people who are unable to navigate conventional public transit without assistance.

Listening to 103.1 Beach Radio while driving around, she heard about the impressive new digital magazine that is home to, news that matters and stories that inspire.

She also heard of the ‘Win your Mortgage or Rent for a Year’, contest.

“I just thought, why not try winning something and then I look at all the news on there,” Allen said noting the large variety of news and feature content.

She said she entered the contest every single morning since January and encouraged her partner to download the app and enter daily as well.

“That’s the thing, you can get in every single day for this thing. Isn’t that incredible?” Ara from Beach Mornings said as he presented the cheque for $1,020.33 to Christina.

She said she’s still in shock to decide what to do with her windfall and is very excited that she is still in the running for the huge grand prize of an entire year’s rent or mortgage.

One more monthly winner will be announced on March 15. The grand prize will be awarded April 15.

Potential contest winners need to download the free Kelowna10 app. No purchase is necessary.

The contest is open to Canadian citizens who are legal residents of British Columbia, who make their present home in the area, have lived in BC for at least twelve continuous months, and must have reached the age of majority at time of entry.

The full details can be found on the app below the list of 10 stories.
