Missing that tropical vacation? Get a little taste with this spicy margarita recipe

Unable to jet off for an island getaway? Recreate a slice of the vacation at home

Public health measures and travel bans have put nearly all winter tropical getaways on hold.

But don't fret, as you can recreate a slice of that tropical taste at home with some simple ingredients in your own backyard.

Jay Fredrick with SIMPS Modern Beverage showed Toby Tannas from 103.1 Beach Radio how to piece together a unique Spicy Habanero Margarita.

It starts with two ounces of your favourite tequila. Mix that in with one ounce of lime juice

Than turn to SIMPS new Spicy Habanero Margarita mix.

Give it all a shake and voila!

But for those who want to add a little extra, dip the rim of the glass in some lime juice and roll it in a mix of chili flakes and salt.

And there you go - the Unicorn - a delightfully pink cocktail to remind you of sunny days and warm sand beaches.
