Meet Kelowna's Top Talent!

Kelowna’s Top Talent set out to find the most outstanding performers in the Okanagan.

On Feb. 5, the top five finalists gave it their all on stage, but only one could take the crown—singer Gracie Field .

Field has been singing since she was four years old. From her first school talent show in kindergarten to winning Kelowna’s Top Talent, her journey has been driven by passion, dedication, and raw talent.

"I've been singing since I was four," Gracie shared. "I did my first school talent show in kindergarten, and I've been doing it ever since."

When it comes to creating her music, Field takes a unique approach.

"Because I don't play instruments, I usually just take a YouTube demo and write to it," she explained. "I bundle up in my room and write away. That's the best way to do it."

Though she has performed at various events and competitions in the Okanagan, Field is grateful for the growing support.

"The amount of supporters I've had that I know and that I don't know is incredible," she said. "I feel like I am growing and I can touch a lot of people which is really cool."

Drawing inspiration from many artists like Amy Winehouse, Field blends soulful depth with contemporary style.

Gracie is currently recording Breaking Glass, an original song, and the one that earned her the Kelowna's Top Talent crown.

"It should be out within the next couple of weeks to a month," she said. "It'll be out sooner rather than later, but I don't want to rush anything."
