KF Aerospace and Okanagan College join forces in jobs boost

Aircraft maintenance company offering open house info session

  • Webinar hosted by KF Aerospace and Okanagan College
  • There is a demand for jobs due to KF’s expansion

Kelowna’s largest private sector employer, KF Aerospace, and Okanagan College are teaming up to help fulfill the demand for qualified workers.

KF Aerospace is expanding, and is looking to hire roughly 100 more employees for their operations within the next 12 months.

In 2023, Boeing will open two new freighter conversion lines at KF Aerospace. This is due to the increase in global demand for freighters.

On Wednesday, Nov. 17, a virtual information session will be hosted that is designed for people who want to learn more about aircraft maintenance training and career paths in the aerospace industry.

The session will include a short presentation by KF Aerospace about employment opportunities in the Okanagan.

OC Aircraft Maintenance Instructor, Dale Martell, will share information about the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Structures program and the Aircraft Maintenance Technician program available at Okanagan College.

KF Aerospace technicians will be available to answer questions in real-time about what it’s like to work in the industry, some of the daily tasks associated with their jobs and the skills required to be successful in this field.

The webinar will give people an insight into the aerospace industry, and will give them the tools to pursue a career path within it.
