Kelowna's $25 million Apple Bowl pro soccer shot
Aiming for the pro leagues
The Apple Bowl may be getting a $25-million makeover that could bring professional soccer to Kelowna.
The city has announced plans for a new grandstand, a new scoreboard and artificial turf at one of the city’s oldest and most iconic sports facilities.
The City said this exploration of the big spending is aimed at enticing a Canadian Premier Soccer League team as early as 2028, if an owner can be found.
Upgrades on the Apple Bowl are expected to start in 2027.
