This is how Kelowna rang in the new year ... early

New York Style party on New Year’s Eve

There was no snow, but the mild temperatures made a big celebration near Kelowna's waterfront a very comfortable affair for everyone Sunday evening.

The Valley First New York New Year's Eve took place at Stuart Park.

An assortment of live bands played each hour including Freeze the Fall, The Harshmellows, and The Hillside Outlaws.

Food trucks, other entertainment and games were on hand, and much more.

The countdown and fireworks happened at 9 p.m., the same time the world-famous ball drops in New York City's Times Square.

And the evening concluded with the skies from The Sails to the Kelowna Yacht Club filled with an explosion of colour.

Kelowna10 was there to take in the event.
