K-Pop and Kelowna, a good combo!
Kelowna is not unfamiliar with culturally diverse eateries, and this time, the city now has a Korean convenience store!
Seoulful Convenience, is located at the corner of Ellis St. & Lawrence Ave., and is bringing an authentic slice of Korea to Kelowna—marking the first of its kind in all of British Columbia.
“People love Korean cultures, like the dramas, movies and K-Pop groups,” manager Seokwon Park told Big Ginger from 103.1 Beach Radio. “They see the food in the movies and dramas and K-Pop, and they want to try taste and drink. So that's why I opened it up.”
As you walk through the doors, you’ll immediately feel the vibe of a traditional Korean convenience store. The shelves are packed with a variety of authentic snacks and drinks.
But the true standout feature of the store is the ramen wall- which is loaded with many different flavours to try. It's a staple in every Korean convenience store.
“Every store has small tables, and the bar table for the ramen,” Park said. “It’s very popular, and I think it is going to be fun in Kelowna.”
