The Kelowna International Fringe Festival is back, and Kelowna10 is swinging by local rehearsals to give you a glimpse of what to expect and decide what you might want to see.

Sweet Surrender- A Tribute to Sarah McLachlan, brings you the sounds and ambience of Sarah’s magical live performances with an Okanagan all-star cast of musicians. If you love Sarah, you won't want to miss ‘Sweet Surrender’!

What is the inspiration behind the performance?

“Simply, the love of Sarah McLachlan’s music. I’ve been involved in multi-tribute shows in the past where I’ve touched on a few of Sarah’s songs, but I’ve always fantasized about putting a great band together and really diving into some of her best music,” Niki Martinus said. “The Fringe Festival opportunity gave me that little nudge I needed to do just that!”

Why should people see it?

“Definitely Sarah McLachlan fans of course, but really any music lovers will enjoy this show. I really do have some great players with me, and with the incredibly gorgeous setting at Grizzli Winery, I feel like this is going to be a pretty magical experience,” Martinus said.

When: Aug. 31 at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 1 at 5 p.m. & 7:30 p.m., and Sept. 3 at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available online and at the door.
