Big break
Kelowna's Sasha Austin is still studying her craft but already has a credit on a big Netflix series set in Colombia.
Austin, 20, plays a character in a couple of episodes of the second series of Cien años de soledad, the TV adaptation of one of the most famous pieces in Spanish literature by Nobel Prize laureate Gabriel Garcia Márquez. The series started streaming in early August.
The show follows seven generations of the Buendía family in the timeless town of Macondo, as they navigate love, oblivion and the inescapability of their past and their fate.
Sasha, who is currently studying at TRU in Kamloops, chatted with Ara from Beach Mornings on 103.1 Beach Radio about her incredible experience with the production team in Colombia.
