It's time to ‘Dine Around’ at some of your favourite local restaurants

There is so much variety on the food and drink spectrum throughout our area, and now is the perfect time to get out to that place you always fancied trying, and at a reasonable price.

That’s the spirit of Dine Around.

Starting Jan. 18 and running through Feb. 9, several restaurants and accommodations in Kelowna and the Central Okanagan are involved in Dine Around - Sip, Savour and Stay, offering both dine-in and dine & stay packages.

Three-course meals range in price, from $25 to $65 per person, excluding tax and BC wine, beer or spirit pairings.

Planner of the event, Christina Ferreira hopes that with COVID restrictions in the past, the event will be a booming success.

“The great thing about this time of year and going out is a lot of people will go to restaurants that they’ve never tried before,” Ferreira told Kelowna10. “It’s an opportunity to go to restaurants that you might not go to all the time because they might be a little out of your budget. So, you get great food, great prices, and it puts people in the restaurants.”

The launch party was a bustling event, with booths set up for multiple vendors to showcase their food and drink.

Ferreira said that they sold out this year, with it being their first launch party for the event since 2020.

“It’ll be nice to be out dining in winter again,” she said. “No barriers, enjoying and just having a great time.”

The menus for the restaurants can be previewed on the Dine Around website, which boasts a diverse selection.

“We have everything from burgers and pizza right through to gourmet steaks and seafood that will be on the various menus,” she explained.

Ferreira said that not many people are aware of the wide variety of food offered in Kelowna, and now is the perfect time to sample some.
