Just three ingredients makes this a concoction to remember
A typical Negroni is made of one part gin, one part Vermouth, and one part Campari.
But Gather restaurant at the foot of the Innovation Centre takes it to a whole new level.
They call theirs the ‘World’s Best Negroni.’
“Is this Kelowna’s most luxurious cocktail? It’s certainly up there,” general manager Christian Peroni told Kelowna10.
Ryan, from 104.7 The Lizard, sat eagerly watching the bar manager whip up the premium drink over a ball of ice.
The first ingredient was an ounce of Roku Gin from Japan. It uses six botanicals that express the four seasons.
Campari came next, followed by an ounce of Pio Cesare Vermouth di Torino, which is based on Chardonnay. An ornately cut orange peel garnish finished the concoction.
But arguably one of the great moments in savoring this exotic cocktail happens even before you take the first sip - the glass is brought to the patron inside a globe shaped bar cart.
As the lid is lifted, a cloud of smoke enshrouding its contents unveils the World’s Best Negroni.
The cost of this experience: $75.
