Hitting the trail for an inexpensive form of fun

Ryan from 103.1 Beach Radio it trying to pinch some pennies

When I first moved to the Okanagan, I was spending a lot of money exploring my new home.

Wine tours, restaurants, breweries, golf - it adds up quick.

Lately, I've been staying inside to help save money, but then I realized; there are hundreds of things to do around Kelowna that don't cost a dime.

I had yet to hike on any of the trials, so my girlfriend and I grabbed the dog and headed to Pincushion Trail in Peachland.

The hike took us about an hour and a half (we are slow). It starts off a bit steep, but the payoff is the panoramic view of the Okanagan at the end. It was a literal breathtaking view of the lake, seeing as we were out of breath by the time we arrived.

I would recommend hiking Pincushion to everyone. The fresh air, exercise, and scenery are good for the body, mind and bank account.
