Here is what will replace Rose’s pub and it’s opening this summer

Promises ‘unmatched’ lake views across two-levels

A restaurant brand with its only location in Toronto is expanding to Kelowna.

King Taps, which is part of the Cactus Club Café family of restaurants, will open in the former Rose’s Waterfront Pub building this summer.

It will have seating for up to 500 between its indoor and outdoor spaces.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing delicious food, amazing drinks and a great vibe to Kelowna’s waterfront this summer,” Regional Manager Thomas Beetlestone said in a media release.

King Taps opened in Toronto’s Financial District in 2017. The restaurant bills itself as offering “locally sourced ingredients and menu items, regional wines, famous pizzas and over 50 rotating taps.”

Its pizzas are made in-house with 24-hour aged dough, hand stretched and baked to order in ovens imported from Italy.

Cactus Club Café purchased the building in 2018, resulting in the closure of Rose’s Waterfront Pub after 25 years of business.

King Taps Lakeside is hosting a virtual hiring fair on Feb. 26.
