Have you been wearing the wrong bra? Leslie gets some tips

Did you know that 80% of women are wearing the wrong bra size?

Karen Nolin, owner ofFashion Foundations, told Leslie from OV 103.9 the main reason is due to a lack of information when it comes to sizing within a single bra.

"There's about 200 size configurations that one bra can come in, depending on the company," she explained. "Department stores can’t carry 200 sizes, so they limit them down, and women just pick whatever seems to fit best."

But that “good enough” approach could be causing discomfort. Nolin emphasized that most of a bra’s support comes from the band—and if it’s too big, it will ride up your back and create problems.

"The band should sit nice and low, keeping the wires in place where they’re supposed to be," she said.

She also addressed a common complaint: that the their band feels too tight.

"You're supposed to have some red marks," she said. " It’s like buying a new pair of shoes—you have to wear them in to make them comfortable."
