Harvey Ave. house fire deemed suspicious
Blaze started on the porch
The Kelowna Fire Department is calling a blaze on Harvey Ave. Saturday evening suspicious.
The fully involved fire was on the porch of the residence in the 800 block.
Firefighters were called out at 5:45 p.m.
When they got there the residents were in the process of evacuating the home.
A total of three engines were called to the scene and sixteen personnel worked on the blaze. It was quickly suppressed but the residence has sustained a lot of damage.
The fire department said based on witness statements the fire is being considered suspicious and RCMP have joined fire investigators in their probe.
