This French roll-up recipe makes for the perfect breakfast treat

It's like French toast, but "different"!

Over the years, the landscape of holiday cuisine has changed quite a bit.

As it is that time of year, we delved into the pages of the ancient cookbook, trying some forgotten recipes.

This time, it was the ever so popular French Roll-ups.

A delightful creation using bread, eggs, and cheese whiz all rolled into one.

Our culinary experts Big Ginger, from 103.1 Beach Radio, and Roach, from 104.7 The Lizard, were back in the kitchen to give you some more holiday food goodness.

Recipe:

  • White Bread
  • Ketchup
  • Eggs
  • Cheese whiz
  • Parmesan cheese

Method:

  • Combine one egg and a tablespoon of ketchup.
  • Remove the crust from two slices of bread.
  • Dip your bread in the egg mixture and fry in a pan until crispy.
  • Spead a layer of cheese whiz over top and roll them up before pinning them with a toothpick.
  • Sprinkle parmesan cheese overtop and bake until the cheese has melted.
