Ryan gets his sweat on
It’s fall, the summer indulgence is over, and it’s time to shed some pounds while upping your fitness level.
How about Barre? That’s pronounced ‘bar’, like the one Ryan may have spent a little too much time in on his recent holiday!
He headed toSweat Studios, which opened recently at 529 Lawrence Ave., to learn about some of the elements that go into Barre class: a combination of ballet, Pilates and yoga.
“It’s such a good workout because it strengthens the entire body, all while improving mobility, stability and core,” instructor Brittany Lynn told Ryan.
And it’s not a specialist thing.
“A common misunderstanding is it’s for a dancer type, but anyone can enjoy this workout and get the full effects,” she said.
