On this day 43 years ago, a record was released that set the bar for concept albums.
British progressive rockers Pink Floyd released The Wall, the biggest selling double album of all time. Estimated sales run at 30 million.
It was an album that would also lead to the hard-hitting and shocking movie of the same name three years later with its focus on social isolation.
