Catch the cricket bug!
Cricket is quickly gaining traction as one of the world’s most popular sports — second only to soccer — and its rise is being felt here in Kelowna and across the Okanagan.
Toby Ellis, a member of the Okanagan Valley Cricket Club and Kelowna Casuals, moved from Vancouver to Kelowna seven years ago looking for a new team sport.
"I was driving past a bunch of lads playing in the field, introduced myself, and started playing," he said. "They welcomed me with open arms and I've just met some of the greatest people here through this game."
Leslie from OV 103.9 stepped up to the crease to give cricket a try as its popularity continues to grow locally.
