Come inside this one of a kind Kelowna dealership

It’s a very unique, bold, and glamorous sign of how far the brand and Kelowna has come in just the last two decades.

Standing on Enterprise Way is the new, three-level, Mercedes Benz dealership.

It’s the first one of this design built for Mercedes in Canada, featuring the showroom on the second floor with an open, third-floor parkade on the roof. The service and parts sections are on ground level.

“It says a lot about Kelowna and that factored into the planning for this building,” GM for Sentes Automotive, Adam Rich told Kelowna10 on a tour of the exceptional new space. “It’s different and special. It’s a big investment for us, it’s a large building and it’s built for the future. We’ve got lots of room to grow.”

Rich said when they built big they had in mind Kelowna is one of the fastest growing cities in Canada and the luxury vehicle segment is strong.

“There’s a lot of optimism and a lot of hope in Kelowna for this to be a lasting building,” Rich explained, noting they retail Mercedes commercial vans as well as the passenger vehicles.

It took around two years to complete their new, sparkling fully finished home since first breaking ground on a lot that already has history. Their previous location was built at this site 21 years ago but clearly they felt the need to grow, just as Kelowna is.

“Below where we’re standing today was the brand-new Mercedes dealership in February of 2002. By March of 2019 that building was torn to the ground.”

The old site was admittedly much smaller – around 13,000 sq ft. The new one is 50,000 sq ft.

“I certainly shows how far the brand has come and how much the city has grown,” Rich said.
