Watch as Ryan chops his flow at this classic barbershop

Creating the right atmosphere for clients

Dan Stewart has been cutting hair for almost a quarter century and says he never stops learning.

The owner/operator of two Man Made Barbershop locations – one on Pandosy Street and the other at Clement Avenue - leads a team of barbers who exude the professionalism and a very specific attitude he’s looking for.

“I just wanted somewhere where I could have a lot of rad barbers work in a comfortable environment where you each could have your own growth; everyone can grow together,” he told Ryan from 104.7 The Lizard.

The barber shop has a funky, masculine atmosphere that Stewart admits, like him, is deliberately a little rough around the edges.

“In my spare time I like to work on my vehicles, go hunting; I don’t really care too much about what other people think. I just like to do my job and do my best at my job,” he explained.

Stewart said it’s very important to him to have a cool, masculine environment for his clients.

“I’ve worked in salons, but as you can tell by the men sitting in here, we wanted somewhere where they can relax but still feel like they’re being pampered in a way that they can still be a true man.”
