Check out Kelowna's newest play space!

Perfect spot for family fun in any season

There's a new spot for families to come and escape the summer heat, and eventually, the cold of winter.

It's Kelowna's newest indoor playground, Play Area.

Set up on Enterprise Way, this family-friendly spot was founded by husband and wife Erin and Gavin Dew, who came from the Lower Mainland.

They wanted to create a space for families to come year-round and fill a need locally.

"It started with our kids wanting to go to Science World, and there's nothing [like that] in Kelowna, maybe we will look at building our own play area," Erin explained. "With the heatwave, fires, or when it gets really cold, there is a demand for young families to have a place to go."

Much of the fun equipment is also STEM oriented with a focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Leslie from OV 103.9 and her son Lane stopped by the new space to see if it gets his seal of approval!
